La ferme de Marie
An authentic farm
La Ferme de Marie (named after its former owner) dates from 1607. It
was a large farm arranged in a U around the courtyard and closed by a large gate. In 1999, we fell in love with this authentic building.
Lovers of old stones and Alsatian houses, our desire is to restore
this farm in the rules of the art in order to restore its original
character. To achieve this, it is necessary to restore the various
buildings that make up the farmhouse, most of which are in very poor
condition.
A heavy restoration that will require long restoration work.
Consecration
Since 1999, the magnificent Alsatian farmhouse has been brilliantly
rehabilitated, which earned it the election of the Favorite house of
the French in 2013 and a gold medal for heritage restoration.
La Ferme de Marie has been restored with ecological and natural
materials such as hemp, cob, lime. The materials and furniture are all
original or come from buildings of the same period. The living rooms,
“stub” in Alsatian, typical of Alsatian houses of the time, have been
restored to their original state. The outdoor spaces are also very
neat while retaining their authenticity (vegetable garden, animals,
etc.).
The two courageous owners have succeeded in their challenge: to
preserve the cachet, the beauty of an ancient heritage and to bring it
back to life, with the comfort of today!

Meeting with a lover of the authentic: Frédéric Cueney of the Ferme de
Marie presented to us in 2016 the first gîte (La maison d’Albert) that

La maison d’Albert
Covering an area of 90m2, it accommodates 1 to 4 people and includes a large stub (living room) with tiled stove, an equipped kitchen, 2 bedrooms with a bathroom and separate WC.
La stub de Louise
Its area is 40 m2, it accommodates 2 to 3 people. The gîte occupies a large stub (living room) with an old cast iron stove and also includes a bedroom and a bathroom with shower and WC.
Le Café salon
This cottage is an apartment has a bedroom upstairs and a bathroom with walk-in shower on the ground floor. It is located on the ground floor with large openings and a very beautiful view.
The garden
You can also enjoy the outdoor spaces: garden furniture, barbecue, shaded terrace. You will be able to meet the farm animals, the donkey, the goat, the geese, the chickens…
